Theo LeCompte has built and scaled high-impact operations across tech, media, government, and politics. As a consultant, he focuses on streamlining operations, building culture, and standing up strategic initiatives. Before recently returning to consulting at Halyard Strategies, he served as the Vice President of Culture and Leadership at Veho, a venture-backed logistics and customer experience technology company.
At Veho, he focused on strengthening the company’s culture across a distributed team of nearly 1,000 teammates. During his time at Veho, Theo held a series of roles building functions of the company that did not yet exist, including Real Estate, Procurement, and IT & Security. Before joining Veho, Theo led private sector outreach for the Biden Harris Transition team, connecting with CEOs, trade associations, and companies on behalf of the incoming Biden Harris Administration.
Before joining the Biden team, Theo spent two years as a Strategy & Planning Lead for the U.S. & Canada Rides business at Uber. His work focused on vehicle access for drivers as well as lowering the climate impact of rides on Uber’s platform. From 2013 - 2017, Theo served under Secretary Penny Pritzker as Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to the Secretary for Strategy and Operations at the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Before joining Commerce, Theo built a consulting business advising corporate, non-profit, and government clients on media strategy and event execution. His clients included the U.S. State Department, the Climate Reality Project, the Center for American Progress, and Edmunds.com. He also held leadership roles at the 2009 and 2013 Presidential Inaugural Committees as well as the 2008 and 2012 Democratic National Conventions.
